Where to purchase supplies?

Dancewear Etc. is our official Dancewear supplier. They carry the brands and styles we need and “good news” they also carry leather tap oxford (age 14 and up) tap shoes for us! Good quality leather tap shoes are essential for proper footwork. Oxfords made from imitation leather can make tap shoes very unsightly and ill fitting therefore difficult to tap in. A proper fitting tap shoe is essential as your tap is your instrument. Dancewear Etc. is located 400 N. Eastern Blvd. Montgomery, AL. same building as MAC sporting goods. (corners with Waresferry) (334)264-2255.

Prepare Hair for Class

Dancers must wear hair away from face and neck for jazz and tap and in a classical bun for ballet class. This is a requirement and an essential part of a dancer’s attire. Turning, spotting and training must be executed without the distraction of hair obstructing a dancers vision and impairing balance and body lines. Please handle this before class begins to eliminate interruptions. If you need assistance, we have several videos concerning hair preparation that we can send you, very simple!

For safety, no Jewelry or gum in class. No toys (children) please no backpacks with strings.
